Bills by Payday — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Bills by Payday is a bill tracker: it keeps the bills you add, with their amounts and due dates, shows what's due before your next payday, and reminds you until each bill is paid. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version: your bills, payments, paychecks and notes stay on your phone. Bills by Payday never asks for a bank login, and has no accounts, no analytics and no server. The free version shows ads from Google, which collects some device data to show them. Bills by Payday Pro removes the ads.

What stays on your phone

Bills by Payday stores these only on your device:

We never receive this information and have no way to see it. There are no accounts and no analytics or crash-reporting services, and the app never connects to your bank. Everything except the ads works with no internet connection.

Photos: only a picture you choose for a bill's tile. It's copied into the app's own storage on your phone and never sent anywhere.

Phone calendar (optional, off unless you turn it on): adds an all-day event for each due date to a calendar you pick, and keeps those events up to date. It only lists your calendars and changes its own events.

Notifications: reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent from a server.

App lock (Pro): uses your phone's own Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint unlock. Bills by Payday only learns whether it succeeded.

Backups and exports: automatic backups are saved to a folder you choose (such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive) or to the app's own storage, which your phone's own backup may include. A backup or CSV export leaves the app only when you choose a cloud folder, share it or save it.

Deleting it: delete a bill from its page. Uninstalling Bills by Payday deletes everything it stored on your phone; backups you saved elsewhere stay until you delete them.

Ads (free version only)

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: one banner at the end of the list on the Home screen. Ads never appear while you're adding a bill, marking one paid or changing your reminders.

Bills by Payday asks Google for non-personalised ads only. They're chosen from what's on screen and your general location, not from a profile of you, and Bills by Payday never asks to track you across other apps.

To show ads, count them and stop fraud, Google may still collect:

In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks before any ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from Privacy choices in Settings.

Google's use of this information is covered by Google's policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Bills by Payday Pro removes all ads, and the ad software does not start at all for Pro users.

Purchases

Bills by Payday Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that you bought Pro, never your payment details. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies cover the purchase.

Children

Bills by Payday is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
