HVAC Math — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

HVAC Math is an HVAC field calculator for service technicians: superheat and subcooling against target, a PT chart, duct sizing, airflow and psychrometrics. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version: your readings, jobs and settings stay on your phone. We don't have accounts, analytics or a server. The free version shows ads from Google, which collects some device data to show them. HVAC Math Pro removes the ads.

What stays on your phone

HVAC Math stores these only on your device:

• your settings: units, refrigerant, metering device and tolerances
• your favorite refrigerants
• jobs you create, with the name you type
• checks you save to a job, with their readings and results
• whether you have bought HVAC Math Pro

We never receive this information and have no way to see it. There are no accounts, no cloud sync and no analytics or crash-reporting services. HVAC Math doesn't use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos. Every calculator and the PT tables work with no internet connection.

Deleting it: uninstalling HVAC Math deletes everything it stored.

Ads (free version only)

The free version shows a banner ad from Google AdMob at the bottom of the Charge, PT chart and Tools screens. Ads never appear on the Jobs screen or while you're typing a reading.

HVAC Math asks Google for non-personalised ads only. They're chosen from what's on screen and your general location, not from a profile of you, and HVAC Math never asks to track you across other apps.

To show ads, count them and stop fraud, Google may still collect:

• your IP address, and an approximate location derived from it
• information about the ads you see and tap
• diagnostic information about how the ads perform

In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks before any ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from Ad privacy choices in Settings.

Google's use of this information is covered by Google's policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

HVAC Math Pro removes all ads, and the ad software does not start at all for Pro users.

Purchases

HVAC Math Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that you bought Pro, never your payment details. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies cover the purchase.

Children

HVAC Math is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
